As we demand for decent, affordable, and quality housing, we also campaign for inclusive spaces where people can maximize their potential and live a life with dignity.

Overview

Why do we advocate for it?

For the longest time, policies on housing and urban development have been framed to accommodate the interests of the elite.

As the government continues to approve projects that cater to commercial development, the informal sector becomes disenfranchised as they are evicted from the spaces they developed. Aside from losing shelter, spaces they use for interaction, productivity, and entertainment also shrink which heightens their inaccessibility to various needs and their rights. Inklusibo advocates for livable spaces for the informal sector because they are essential drivers of economic growth and development. Without the people at the core, cities become lifeless and useless.

We build capacities of urban poor communities on the right to their right to the city and their right to decent, affordable, and socialized housing.

Forwarding People-centered Alternatives on Livable Spaces

We critically engage with policy makers and government bodies to carry forward the agenda of people-centered spaces and housing policies.
